Welcome to the inaugural TEDxHawkesbury!
It is with immense pride that I welcome you to our very first event. Bringing the TEDx platform to the Hawkesbury has been a dream of mine, driven by a simple but powerful belief: our region is brimming with extraordinary people, untold stories, and ideas that deserve a global stage.
The Hawkesbury is a community who knows what it means to be resilient; in times of flood, fire and pandemic, in the every day challenges we all face. It’s in events like this where we’re able to come together to share ideas that grow us as a community.
We are a community of innovators and passionate creators. Today is about shining a spotlight on that future-focused energy. We’ve curated a lineup that reflects this spirit, bringing together brilliant, homegrown minds alongside fresh perspectives traveling from further afield.
Looking out into the audience today is the realisation of a dream. By choosing to be here, you are doing more than just attending a conference, you are actively supporting the courageous speakers stepping onto the red circle. It means the absolute world to me that you chose to show up for them.
As you flip through this souvenir program and settle in, I encourage you to lean into the experience. Let yourself be challenged, allow yourself to be inspired, and take the time to spark up conversations with the people sitting next to you. The magic of TEDx doesn’t just happen on the stage, it happens in the breaks, in the shared moments of realisation, and in the actions you take after you leave.
